It is necessary to arouse the social conscious of the students and to provide them an opportunity to work with the people in the villages. It is felt that their instruction with the common villages will expose them to the realities of life and bring about a change in their social perception. On the basis of the real motto of the NSS, that is ‘NOT ME BUT YOU’, a unit was opened up in the college in the academic session 2007-2008 and accordingly this unit has been performing its activities in the local area of the college on different occasions. Currently, the college has three (3) Units of NSS and the Programmme Officers are Prof. Manik Paul (Unit-I), Prof. Sahidul Islam (Unit-II) and Prof. Ananta Rava (Unit-III).
